Director
Christian B. Roper
Christian is a photographer and filmmaker from Texas. The son of freedivers and the grandson of an Antarctic expeditioner, he developed a love for adventure at a young age. While at The University of Texas, Christian built a worldwide following through his own traveling work as a documentary photographer.
Producer & Head of Research
Brackston McKnight
Brackston is an avid Texas history enthusiast with a passion for the collection and preservation of both his family’s history and the history of East Texas. An award-winning documentarian during his time at Sam Houston State University, he grew to enjoy sharing the lesser known stories and traditions across the state.
Producer & Sound Engineer
Ryan Travis
Ryan is a tech expert from East Texas with a passion for the outdoors. As a student of East Texas Baptist University, he was a four-year starter on the Tigers football team and studied business at the undergraduate and graduate level. While in school, Ryan ventured into the world of entertainment through creation of his own podcast series and streaming channel.

Gary L. Pinkerton
Gary is the author of “Trammel’s Trace: The First Road to Texas from the North.” When researching that book about a 200-year old road he learned about the legend of Hendricks Lake and some of the people who believed in the legend enough to search for it. He is the author of a new book coming in April 2019, “True Believers: Treasure Hunters at Hendricks Lake.”
